About the role

The post holder will directly manage the finance function, and lead and set professional financial standards. This role will manage other finance staff in the same country or region. It will be responsible for effective financial management including the preparation of financial plans and production of financial reports, managing the financial aspects of donor-funded programs and appeal funding, and supporting and building the financial capacity of Christian Aid staff in the same country or region, and facilitating external, internal and donor audits. The Finance Manager is a member of the Senior Management Team in the country and has overall responsibility for ensuring the compliance of office and program finance with donor regulations and statutory requirements. The role is line-managed by the Country Director.

About you

You will be an accountant with a strong background knowledge of financial principles and practices; considerable experience in financial management and budgeting; management of audits and familiarity with local government regulations and procedures. You will have considerable experience working for INGO. You will have a demonstrated capacity to manage large institutional-funded grants and possess skills in budget preparation, analysis and training, consolidated financial reporting, and presentation. Experience in capacity-building work of national organizations is desirable.
