Job Description:

As a Senior Risk and Compliance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the integrity and financial stability of Digaf Micro Credit Providers. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring risk management strategies and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Risk Assessment and Management:

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential risks to the organization.
  • Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and report on risk exposures and trends.

Compliance Management:

  • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements, including banking laws, anti-money laundering regulations, and data privacy laws.
  • Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular compliance reviews and audits.

Internal Controls:

  • Design and implement robust internal control systems to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
  • Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements.

Regulatory Reporting:

  • Prepare and submit required regulatory reports to relevant authorities.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and their impact on the organization.

Training and Awareness:

  • Conduct training programs to enhance staff awareness of risk management and compliance matters.
  • Promote a culture of risk awareness and compliance within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management or compliance roles within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office, risk management software).
