Role Context
Provide day-to-day administrative support with readily available advice for Credit & Collections / Accounts Receivable (OTC) activities and tasks to minimize outstanding accounts and achieve compliance in line with internal and external policies and standards, regulations and compliance requirements
Accountabilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support for Credit and Collections and Accounts Receivable (OTC) activities and tasks under direct supervision
- Perform routine tasks/ interactions that mostly address immediate issues such as gathering and entering data and numbers
- Undertake repetitive and laid down tasks such as setting up files, data processing and validation and collecting payments
- Collect, compile and file required data for various collection activities
- Gather and compile credit information and maintain credit records for accurate account processing
- Identify overdue (delinquent) accounts
- Prepare and finalize due accounts accurately
- Verify credit references to accurately assess applications for credit
- Contact and follow up with customers regarding outstanding payments and prepare reports on the status of Credit and Collections activities
- Discuss payment schedule and contracts, and follow-up accounts to ensure these arrangements are met
- Resolve recurring routine issues faced during delivery else escalate to supervisor for inputs and guidance
- Process payments and apply to customer balances in the Accounts Receivable ledger
- Due to segregation of duties between credit, collections and cash application, individual tasks shall relate to only one of these three fields
- BA degree in accounting and finance.
