About: Meri Podcast is the leading business podcast in Ethiopia, with a mission to inspire and educate entrepreneurs and executives through storytelling and content creation. We seek a Communications Officer to strengthen our communication strategies and engagement with our growing audience and partners.
Job Description: The Communications Officer will be crucial in developing and executing communication strategies that align with MERI's goals. This individual will be responsible for creating compelling content, engaging with stakeholders, and leading the development of new partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Communication Strategies:
- Create and implement communication plans to align with organizational goals.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies.
- Develop internal communication plans to keep employees informed and engaged.
- Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines across all communication materials.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and community members.
- Communicate with current and potential partners/customers.
- Design and execute marketing strategies based on market research.
- Prepare reports, proposals, and summits with current and potential partners
Research and Writing:
- Research guests, experts, and other relevant topics for content creation and strategic planning.
- Prepare the conversation structure based on the research
Administrative Tasks:
- Organize and document internal meetings, documents, and equipment.
- Communicate with vendors and manage vendor relationships.
- Maintain an organized system for storing and retrieving documents.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in communications, public relations, or a related field.
- Excellent in critical thinking, analysis and self-education
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
- Proficiency in market research and analysis.
