Job Description
We are seeking a Cost Accountant to join our finance team. This is a dynamic role that requires both accounting expertise and strong communication skills. As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Managing cost-related financial data
- Performing cost analysis
- Ensuring accuracy in financial reporting
The ideal candidate will have:
- Over 5 years of accounting experience
- IFRS Certification
- Experience in ERP
- Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in VLOOKUP and other advanced functions
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and analyze cost records, including preparing detailed reports on cost structures
- Perform variance analysis between budgeted and actual costs
- Reconcile accounts and provide data to support financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Work closely with other departments to ensure accuracy in cost-related activities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Conduct cost analysis and recommend cost-saving measures
- Collaborate with the finance team for regular audits and financial reviews
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably with a focus on cost accounting
- Experience in manufacturing industries
- ACCA certification preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and advanced functions
- Good typing speed, not less than 28 Words per Minute (test yourself through https://www.typingtest.com/)
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written (English is required)
- Ability to send and respond to voice messages on WhatsApp in English
