Terms of Reference for Dialogue Track Officer
Overview of the Position
The short-term consultant will work as an Addis Ababa-based Intra-Oromo Dialogue Track Officer for the Berghof Foundation project on “Supporting multi-track dialogue in Ethiopia” funded by the German Federal Foreign Office.
The consultant is expected to be based in Addis Ababa. The exact number of facilitation days will ultimately depend on the process needs, but for the purposes of this tender the duration of the service contract runs for up to 6 working days for a dialogue cluster. Each facilitator will have 2 days assigned for preparation/documentation (depending on assigned role) and up to 4 days forfacilitating a working group with the possibility of replication for dialogues on the remining three thematic clusters.
Qualifications
Applicants shall demonstrate that they fulfil the following criteria:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as gender studies, peace and conflict studies, political science, or similar/equivalent profession;
- At least three (3) year’s relevant work experience on dialogue processes and capacity building program; firm understanding of financial and logistical requirements is a plus;
- Good networking with the ability to and engaging with diverse stakeholders;
- Sound knowledge of the Ethiopian context;
- Excellent verbal and written language skills in Amharic and English; Applicants should bring the following additional skills:
- Strong communication skills, ability to work as part of a team as well as independently;
- Ability to work under time pressure;
- Curiosity, passion and perseverance
