On behalf of our client, we are seeking a highly skilled Finance & Accounting Manager with expertise in import/export business operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial activities, ensuring compliance with trade regulations, and managing banking transactions related to international trade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations related to import/export transactions, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Manage accounts payable & receivable, financial statements, and month-end/year-end closings.
- Handle foreign currency exchange transactions, LC (Letter of Credit), TT (Telegraphic Transfer), and trade financing.
- Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax regulations, customs duties, and international accounting standards.
- Develop and implement cost control and risk management strategies.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts, budgets, and financial reports for decision-making.
- Coordinate with banks, tax authorities, customs offices, and external auditors.
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team to enhance efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in finance/accounting, strongly prefereble in an import/export or trading company.
- Strong knowledge of international trade finance, foreign exchange, and banking transactions.
