What You’ll Do:

• Take charge of our financial operations—from budgeting and cash flow management to financial forecasting.
• Manage banking relationships and handle Letters of Credit (LC), trade finance, and foreign exchange transactions with precision.
• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws, NBE (National Bank of Ethiopia) regulations, and global trade finance standards.
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
• Analyze financial risks related to currency fluctuations, market trends, and international trade transactions.
• Optimize costs and improve financial efficiency, making data-driven recommendations for business growth.
• Work closely with customs, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth trade operations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of financial discipline and innovation.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in an import/export or trading company.
• Expertise in banking operations, trade finance, and Letters of Credit (LC)—a must!
• Strong knowledge of foreign exchange transactions and Ethiopian financial regulations (NBE compliance).
• Proficiency in financial software (Peachtree, QuickBooks, SAP, or ERP systems) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make strategic financial decisions.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of managing teams and collaborating with external stakeholders.
• Experience in tax and regulatory compliance, working with customs and financial institutions.
