Position - Head Pharmacist
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced professional to fill the position of Head Pharmacist at Ahadu PLC, Axum Pharmacy. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of professionals in delivering exceptional pharmaceutical services while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the pharmacy team to deliver exceptional service.
- Ensure excellence in pharmaceutical operations, patient care, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee medication inventory management, procurement, and storage to maintain availability and quality.
- Develop and implement policies to improve efficiency, safety, and compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes through effective medication therapy management.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure the pharmacy operates within legal and ethical guidelines.
- Provide training and mentorship to pharmacy staff to build capacity and foster professional growth.
- Stay updated with the latest pharmaceutical developments, ensuring the integration of best practices.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy and valid licensure as a pharmacist.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in a leadership role as a Head Pharmacist.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, inventory management, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
- Commitment to delivering excellent patient care and upholding professional ethics.
