Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior IT associate who focuses on software development at Flintstone Engineering in Addis Ababa. The junior software Engineer will be responsible for back-end web development, software development, programming, and object-oriented programming on a day-to-day basis while providing direct support to the IT manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the IT Manager to develop, maintain, and improve software systems.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software-related issues.
- Conduct basic testing, debugging, and quality assurance for applications.
- Support database management tasks, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Research and recommend tools and technologies to enhance the company’s digital initiatives.
- Provide technical support to internal teams and assist in IT operations.
- Oversee updates and changes needed for the Flintstone website
- Other tasks assigned by the IT manager
Qualifications
- Computer Science and Software Development skills
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development
- Experience in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Fast learner who is willing to take on ad hoc tasks when necessary
