Job Purpose
The Manager, Brand and Marketing is responsible for:
- Managing and promoting the RwandAir brand across all touchpoints
- Ensuring consistent brand positioning, market visibility, and customer engagement
- Leading the development and execution of marketing campaigns
- Overseeing advertising, sponsorship, and media buying strategies
Key Duties and Responsibilities
I. Strategic
- Develop and oversee the execution of integrated brand and marketing strategies
- Ensure consistent expression of the RwandAir brand across all touchpoints
- Plan and execute data-driven, multi-channel marketing campaigns
- Ensure alignment with commercial priorities and transformation themes
- Lead brand and marketing transformation projects
II. Operational
a. Brand Management
- Ensure consistent application of the RwandAir brand across all communications
- Guard and evolve the visual identity and overall brand expression
b. Marketing Strategy and Execution
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to support passenger growth
- Manage above-the-line (ATL), below-the-line (BTL), and digital marketing campaigns
- Plan and oversee local and international marketing activities
c. Advertising and Media Management
- Plan, negotiate, and manage advertising and media buys
- Track and analyze campaign performance
- Ensure campaigns are delivered on time and within budget
d. Market Research & Insights
- Commission and analyze market research and customer insight studies
- Monitor competitor activity and industry trends
- Translate insights into actionable marketing initiatives
e. Content and Creative Development
- Identify and manage strategic brand partnerships
- Evaluate sponsorship proposals
f. Sponsorship and Partnerships
- Identify and manage strategic brand partnerships
- Evaluate sponsorship proposals
g. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
- Work closely with various teams to align marketing activities
- Liaise with station and regional teams to execute marketing initiatives
h. Management & Leadership
- Establish department objectives and priorities
- Regularly evaluate department objectives and practices
- Oversee and supervise employees
Desired Profile
a) Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in marketing or brand management
- Demonstrated experience managing integrated marketing campaigns
- Strong understanding of brand strategy and customer engagement
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
