Job Summary
Assist safe operation and maintenance of machinery and production lines in the assigned process lines by configuring the equipment, loading and operating the machines and reducing downtime so as to produce products that continuously meet the quality standards and quantity targets as per the schedule set.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Completing daily and weekly tasks using Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure quality and repeatable results
- Ensuring continuous operation of process equipment at specific process line through active process monitoring and troubleshooting
- Effectively communicating job knowledge and process changes with team members and management through various forms of daily communication (shift handover meeting, daily production meetings, action logs, work orders, etc.).
- Performing quality inspection of product using basic lab equipment and SOP’s as a guide.
- Completed and maintained written documentation certifying completion of quality inspections, sanitation requirements, batch and blending production following SOP’s, and basic maintenance tasks.
- Maintaining sanitation of machinery, equipment, storage bins, workstations, etc.
- Reporting safety and/or equipment issues to the line manager and performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the line manager.

- Basic use of PC skills such as MS Office, Excel, Word, and email.
Education
- The position requires a minimum of TVET Level ¾ or Diploma and CoC certification in Manufacturing Technology or Industrial Mechanics or Industrial Electricity or Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electricity or Electronic Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science
Experience
- 2 years’ experience in an FMCG manufacturing shop floor setting
