Job Purpose:
The Process Lead is expected to develop the line team's technical understanding and mastery of process control to improve and optimize the production process in terms of efficiency, ergonomics, safety, and quality using IWS methodology in the assigned work cell.
Key Responsibilities:
Cell Daily Operation:
- Own line systems, including centerline (CL), changeover (CO), and change management (CM) daily management systems (DMSs).
- Develop the operating teams' technical understanding and mastery of process control.
- Be analytically minded and able to interpret and analyze data.
- Serve as an entry-level position or advancement opportunity for high-performing associates.
Cell Improvement:
- Solve problems on the line, including taking on the role of the line expert in initial problem solving (IPS) and unified problem solving (UPS) standard work processes (SWPs).
- Analyze data using the line's data analytics tools, equipment data systems, and other resources.
Delivery:
- Act as the backup for problem resolution to ensure the Primary machine delivers the volume on time.
- Analyze process data and report production KPIs.
- Support machine operation.
Environment, Health, and Safety:
- Ensure health and safety aspects at work, learn about potential hazards, and maintain required control measures to keep the workplace healthy and safe.
- Comply with JTI health and safety requirements associated with work hazards, follow all applicable health and safety rules and procedures, and cooperate in the continuous improvement process.
- Demonstrate safe behavior, report incidents and near misses to the supervisor, and report identified unsafe conditions and behaviors to the supervisor, taking measures to eliminate them.
Other:
- Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon the manager's request.
Who We Are Looking For:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent recommended (preferably in Science or Engineering).
Work Experience:
- 3+ years of professional experience in a relevant area.
- Experience in problem-solving on the line and data analysis.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and IWS tools.
Language Skills:
- Proficiency in English for effective verbal and written communication is preferred.
Functional Skills:
- Computer skills (MS Office, Power BI).
- Demonstrated abilities in influencing people, teaching, coaching, and developing others through on-shop-floor interaction.
- Ability to identify trends in production data using statistics and related tools to continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
