- Senior Research Officer (8+ years of experience, Master’s or PhD)

Market and Private Sector Development
- Policy research on private sector growth & investment climate
- Market system & value chain analysis
- Business environment reform recommendations
- M&E of private sector development programs
- Consulting services for policymakers & investors
Social Protection and Development
- Research on social security programs & basic social services
- Employment Opportunities & Legal Protection Studies
- Rural & urban safety net program analysis
- Social norms & inclusion assessments
- Operational research on social protection policies
Health, Nutrition, and Education
- Policy research on healthcare, nutrition, and education systems
- Monitoring & evaluation of public health programs
- Research on maternal & child health, water & sanitation, and environmental health
- Education System Efficiency & Institutional Capacity Assessments
- Curriculum, textbook, and teacher development research
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research analysis, coordinate data collection, and consult clients
- Write high-quality research reports and field implementation reports
- Develop winning research and consultancy proposals
- Design appropriate research methodologies and tools
- Oversee project implementation with a focus on quality, budget, and timelines
- Represent Frontieri in meetings, conferences, and stakeholder engagements
- Ensure confidentiality and adherence to organizational policies

Minimum Requirements
Education:
- Senior Research Officer: Master’s or PhD in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Development Studies, Sociology, Public Health, Education, Business, or related fields.
- Research Officer: Master’s degree in relevant fields.
- Research Associate: Master’s degree in relevant fields.
Experience:
- Senior Research Officer: 8+ years of experience in research, consultancy, or policy analysis.
- Research Officer: 5+ years of experience in research, consultancy, or policy analysis.
- Research Associate: 4+ years of experience in research, consultancy, or policy analysis.
Technical Expertise & Skills:
- Proven experience in conducting research, data analysis, and writing research reports.
- Strong background in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
- Experience in developing research proposals and winning consultancy projects.
- Familiarity with statistical software (SPSS, STATA, R, Python) and data collection tools (KOBO, ODK, CSPro).
- Ability to design surveys, conduct interviews, and manage field data collection.
- Experience working with international and national research and consultancy institutes.
- Knowledge of monitoring & evaluation (M&E) frameworks.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders, policymakers, and donors.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in research related to Agriculture & Rural Development, Market & Private Sector Development, Social Protection & Development, and Health, Nutrition & Education.
- Experience in policy advisory roles and working with international donors, NGOs, and research institutions.
- Track record of published research papers or contributions to research projects.
- Previous experience in consultancy firms, think tanks, or academic institutions.
