Job Summary
The Supply Planner is responsible for coordinating production planning and scheduling activities to ensure the efficient use of resources and materials. This role involves coordinating with various departments, including demand, RMP, brewing, packaging, and others to balance production output with demand forecasts and optimize the use of resources. The role is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed production schedules to ensure the brewery's products are manufactured efficiently, on time, and meet quality standards.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity.
- Collaborate with brewing and packaging teams to ensure production plans and timelines are aligned with resource availability.
- Adjust production plans in response to changes in demand, production delays, or equipment availability.
- Monitor production output and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in demand or production delays.
- Work closely with packaging to Plan for preventive maintenance and ensure it doesn’t conflict with production schedules.
- Align production schedules with demand forecasts provided from demand planner.
- Analyze historical data, sales trends, and forecast accuracy to anticipate future production needs.
- Work closely with Raw material planner to ensure timely availability of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging supplies.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production efficiency, down times, inventory levels, and forecast accuracy.
- Generate regular reports on production progress, material usage, and inventory status.
- Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions to enhance supply planning processes.
- Work closely with Demand planner, Raw material planner, logistics, quality assurance, and warehouse teams to optimize the supply chain flow.
- Coordinate with the distribution team to ensure on-time delivery of raw materials and other important production materials.
- Support the brewing and packaging teams in resolving issues that may impact production targets.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase production efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement process improvements in production scheduling, and inventory management.
- Ensure production plans comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with production delays, material shortages, or demand fluctuations.
Job Requirements
- Proficiency in production planning, scheduling, in advanced data analysis and reporting.
- Attention to detail is key, ruthlessly focusing on execution.
- Experience with ERP and supply chain management systems, Customer Service, Planning experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to think critically.
- Budgeting & Planning skills.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in supply management, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience
- +5 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, Operations, Preferably in FMCG industry.
