Job Summary
Carry out food-grade welding and installation works including stainless steel, black steel, aluminum, and cast iron welding with appropriate welding equipment or methods based on requirements by fitting adjustments and following process flow charts and P&ID.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
- Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cut material with powered saws to match measurements).
- Align components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamp pieces.
- Use welding machine & necessary tools according to the manufacturer's procedure.
- Ensure the 5S & organization of the workshop as per defined rules.
- Perform pipeline maintenance, replacement, and repair throughout the factory.
- Execute welding jobs accurately to avoid work repetition and material wastage.
- Transport welding machines & necessary materials to the required site.
- Handle carefully hand tools, measuring instruments, and others that the company provides for use.
- Participate in any emergency repairs and perform all duties of general mechanic work.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and rules.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the line manager.
Job Requirements
- Mastering mechanical and electrical technologies.
- Analytical skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Education
- The position requires a minimum of TVET Level-2 or Level-3 and CoC certification in General Mechanics, Electro Mechanics, Industrial Mechanics, Industrial Electricity, or Manufacturing Technology.
Experience
- 5- or 3-years’ experience as a Welder in an FMCG factory or industrial setting.
