Acasus undertakes high-profile projects in an expanding group of countries, including Pakistan, Chad, the DRC, Mozambique, Somalia, Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Sudan, and Nigeria. This role will require you to help shape a growing portfolio of work with an entrepreneurial outlook and social mission.

From the Khyber Pass to the Great Rift Valley, and beyond, our consultants are learning, creating, and most importantly, helping millions of citizens access better services.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and capture insights from the field
  • Use data and other information for analysis and decision-making purposes
  • Plan and develop strategies
  • Design and implement new systems, and further develop existing ones to dramatically improve project outcomes
  • Identify and understand issues; break down problems and identify root causes and different dimensions
  • Give recommendations by constructing multiple scenarios and advise where necessary
  • Develop excellent relationships and work with senior government officials and international partners
  • Guide and mentor junior associates and monitor their progress
  • Access international evidence and lessons about what works

What we look for:

  • 3+ years of proven work experience in management and strategy consulting
  • Proven track record of working in Ethiopia;
  • Previous work experience in the public sector is strongly preferred
  • Excellent English and Amharic (Oromifa is a plus)
  • Strong leadership skills
