Job Summary
Lersha (Green Agro Solution PLC) is an agri-tech enterprise providing digital agriculture and mechanization services that connect smallholder farmers to inputs, finance, and markets through its digital platform and field agent network.
As part of its expanding presence in northern Ethiopia, Lersha is seeking a dedicated IT Support Associate based in Mekelle to provide technical assistance, system maintenance, and digital platform support for local operations and field teams. The role ensures the smooth operation of all IT systems in the Mekelle office, supporting staff and field agents in using Lersha’s digital platforms, including the Lersha Agent App and DC Portal.

Location: Mekelle, Tigray Region
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line IT support for Mekelle office staff and field teams, both in-person and remotely.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computers, printers, Wi-Fi networks, and mobile devices.
- Install and configure operating systems, applications, and software updates as required.
- Maintain IT asset inventory (laptops, routers, dongles, SIM cards, etc.) and ensure all devices are documented and functional.
- Coordinate with the central IT team in Addis Ababa for system-level maintenance and updates.
- Provide user support for the Lersha Agent App, DC Portal, and other digital tools used by field agents and partners.
- Train new users (staff and agents) on system logins, data entry, and troubleshooting common issues.
- Manage internet connectivity and local Wi-Fi networks at the Mekelle office.
- Ensure antivirus protection, system backups, and data security protocols are maintained.
- Support hybrid meetings, online training sessions, and field digital data collection.
- Collaborate with the People & Culture and Project Teams to ensure new staff have the right IT setup during onboarding.
- Maintain IT documentation, incident logs, and prepare monthly IT support reports.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or BSc in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in IT support, preferably in the private sector, NGO, ordigital service environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office 365, network configuration, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Android systems and cloud-based tools.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to multitask effectively.
- Ability to work independently with a customer-service mindset.
- Commitment to confidentiality and ethical conduct.
- Must reside in Mekelle or be readily available to relocate.
- Language proficiency in Amharic, Tigrigna, and English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting distributed field teams.
- Prior experience in agri-tech or digital service environments.
- Knowledge of IT asset management systems and remote troubleshooting tools.
- Familiarity with data security protocols and backup management.
