About the Job
The Physiotherapist is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments, injuries, or disabilities. The role involves developing personalized treatment plans to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance overall quality of life. Working closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, the Physiotherapist ensures effective rehabilitation and patient-centered care within the hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical conditions, mobility, and functional limitations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans
- Apply therapeutic techniques to improve strength, flexibility, and movement
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on recovery status
- Educate patients and families on exercises, injury prevention, and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and treatment documentation
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for integrated patient care
- Participate in continuous professional development and training programs
- Assist in developing departmental procedures and service improvement initiatives
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff and interns
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and movement mechanics
- Ability to design and implement effective physiotherapy treatment programs
- Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and rehabilitation methods
- Experience in conducting functional assessments and identifying movement disorders
- Ability to use therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation
- Capability to interpret diagnostic imaging related to musculoskeletal conditions
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and education
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with healthcare professionals
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning
