Senior Accountant

Job Summary

A Senior Accountant is an experienced accounting professional responsible for overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, analyzing financial data, and supporting the organization's financial operations. The role also involves supervising junior accounting staff and contributing to the improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Maintain the general ledger and accounting records.
• Train, guide, and mentor junior accountants.
• Recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.

Required Skills

• Strong financial analysis skills.

Desired Skills

• Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
