In 2015, Beconnected Industrial has opened a state-of-the-art, #1 printing and labeling factory in Ethiopia. We have 2500m2, brand-new, fully equipped with the most state-of-the-art machinery. We produce high-standard labels, with first-class woven Jacquard and printed label machines. We can make any kind and type of Jacquard woven and printed label for the African market. We also have one of the world’s best ellipse printing and heat transfer machines. We have a daily capacity of 50.000 prints under international management. We work for foreign international retailers where we comply with the high Social compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
Compliance Officer tasked with developing, implementing and managing an organization’s social compliance program for Buyer audits.
Duties include:
- Developing and overseeing control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.
- Evaluating the efficiency of controls and improving them continuously.
- Revising procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.
- Collaborating with corporate counsels and the HR department to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations.
- Assessing the business’s future ventures to identify possible compliance risks.
- Reviewing the work of colleagues when necessary to identify possible compliance issues and providing advice or training.
- Keeping abreight of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices.
- Preparing reports for managers and external regulatory bodies appropriate
- Responsible for Compliance Audit for BSCI, Better Works, C-TPAT, etc.
Education and Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business administration, or related field
- Past experience working in a garment factory as a Compliance team member or officer
- In-depth knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations
- Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record-keeping
- Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities
- An analytical mind able to see the complexities of procedures regulations
- Professional certification such as certified compliance.
