We are seeking a young, energetic, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a General Service Officer/Versatile Worker. The ideal candidate will have a technical background, particularly in electrical work, and the ability to handle a variety of maintenance and repair tasks.
Job Description: As a General Service Officer/Versatile Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities and equipment. Your role will involve both office and field-based tasks, including
- Performing electrical repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
- Conducting general maintenance and repairs (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.).
- Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Responding to maintenance requests and resolving issues promptly.
- Assisting in the setup and maintenance of office equipment and furniture.
- Conducting routine inspections of facilities to identify and address potential issues.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols.
- Performing field-based tasks, including travel to other locations as required.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Requirements:
- TVET Diploma in Electrical, General Mechanics, or a related technical field.
- 0-1 year of experience in maintenance, electrical work, or a similar role (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and general maintenance practices.
- Ability to handle a variety of tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Adaptable, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to perform field-based tasks and travel as required.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor.
- A valid driver’s license is an added advantage.
