We are currently seeking an experienced Accountant who will not only manage our internal accounting requirements but also serve as a key domain expert in ERP implementations across OVID’s subsidiaries.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional Experience:
- Proven track record in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in standard accounting software (e.g., Odoo Accounting, Peachtree, Sage, Xero, etc).
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with database concepts is a plus (e.g., SQL queries to extract financial data).
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting or leading financial aspects of technology implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Internal Accounting & Financial Management
- Handle day-to-day accounting tasks including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and reconciliations.
- Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecast reports to guide strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles (IFRS, GAAP) and local regulatory requirements.
- Manage cash flow and assist with financial audits.
- ERP Domain Expertise & Implementation
- Serve as a subject matter expert for accounting and finance modules during ERP implementations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including IT, operations, and external consultants—to integrate accounting best practices into the ERP.
- Review and validate financial data migration processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Identify opportunities to optimize and automate financial workflows within existing and new ERP solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Liaise with internal departments and OVID subsidiaries to gather accounting requirements and align on best practices.
- Provide training and support to end-users on financial systems and procedures.
- Translate technical ERP requirements into practical accounting workflows that improve efficiency and data integrity.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Stay current with emerging accounting technologies and industry trends, recommending new tools or processes to enhance efficiency.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of future ERP enhancements or modules.
- Proactively suggest process improvements to strengthen internal controls and financial reporting.
