Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled full-stack Software Developer to join our core tech team. In this role, you will help build, scale, and maintain the FutureX platform, empowering millions of students across Ethiopia and Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable features for our Mobile Application.
• Build secure backend logic using Node.js/Express, Python/Django, and RESTful APIs.
• Create dynamic user interfaces and experiences using React.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Contribute to the development of our Flutter cross-platform mobile application.
• Design and optimize MySQL databases utilizing Sequelize ORM.
• Support deployment processes, server configuration, and ensure platform reliability.
• Collaborate effectively with the Head of Technology, designers, and content teams in an agile environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (Level 4 or BSc) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with Flutter (Dart).
• At least 2 years of experience with Node.js and Express.js.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with React.js.
• Strong experience with RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in MySQL and Sequelize ORM.
• Proficient in programming languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Dart, and Python.
• Experience with deployment, server maintenance, and basic DevOps practices.

Preferred (Optional but Advantageous): 

• Medium-level experience with Python Django.
• Familiarity with CodeIgniter (PHP).
• Experience integrating YouTube API.
• Implementation experience with push notifications (e.g., OneSignal).
• UI/UX design skills.
• Experience with Flutter file downloads and secure storage.
