Job Summary The Human Resources Director is responsible for developing and executing human resources strategy in support of the overall business and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, performance management, training and development, and compensation. Most importantly, the HR Director is a partner to Senior and Executive Management in driving the culture of the company and helping EthioChicken be the best company in Ethiopia to work for. Essential Functions Plans organize and control all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. Support the strategic objectives of the company. Responsible for all the activities of the Department, including recruitment, performance evaluation, staff relations, training, and development, etc. Develops, recommends and implements human resource policies and procedures. Supports management by providing human resources direction, advice, and counsel Plan, Direct and monitor benefit packages such as compensation, health insurance, maternity leave, etc. Liaise with company legal counsel as required on HR legal matters. Oversee, manage and encourage the ongoing development of the HR staff. Oversee training and opportunities that develop Ethiochicken’s workforce. Develop and monitor the annual HR budget and work with the finance team for proper implementation. Oversee the performance evaluation program, including 360 reviews, employee satisfaction surveys, and provide training on the program. Develop, improve and monitor the HR Policy and implementation. Provide recommendations to Executive Management to improve Company performance. Review salaries & Benefits based on market level and living wage requirements. Work with department and division managers in the formulation of an annual HR plan and organizational structure. Oversee the administrative unit. Build culture of teamwork, commitment, and performance across all departments/geographies. Carry out coaching, evaluation and performance management plan for the team And other tasks as may be required from time to time. Ethical Practice. Strong computer skills. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced organizational setup. Strong personnel management experience. Ability to lead and develop human resources staff members. Strong understanding of the interviewing process, benefits administration, payroll, and other HR Functions. Education Qualifications and Requirement Minimum of BA Degree is required, Masters of Business Administrations would be considered as an advantage. Good knowledge of Ethiopian employment laws and practices. Professional membership and an additional certificate in related filed of HR is a plus. Experience 7 years of experience in human resources and administration; of which 2 years in a managerial role.
