Job Summary

West Data Center Service PLC is seeking a skilled Chinese Translator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating a variety of documents, websites, and other content from Chinese to English and Amharic, and vice versa. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Translate written and verbal communications from Chinese to English and Amharic, and from English/ Amharic to Chinese. Ensure translated content conveys the original meaning and tone. Proofread and edited translated texts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy. Collaborate with colleagues and clients to understand their needs. Provide cultural insights to enhance translation accuracy and relevance.

Requirements:

• Excellent proficiency in Chinese, English, and Amharic.
• Strong understanding of cultural nuances and context in all three languages.
• Proficient in using translation software and tools.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a translator or interpreter is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of additional languages is also a plus.

Education:

• A degree in any field is acceptable if the candidate has the necessary language translation skills.
