Shayashone is a locally registered company previously engaged in a consulting service provider. The company has recently diversified its portfolios to import and lately to manufacturing. As part of the establishment of the manufacturing business, SYS is currently looking for an Import and Export Officer who would assist the business on a fulltime permanent employment basis. Key Roles and Responsibilities of the Trainer Export Business Coordination Organize sourcing of products for export in close consultation with SYS consulting and project team. Hunt and follow potential buyers in consultation with the consulting team. Organize the export process. Attend any communication with buyers and phyto sanitary requirements. Responsible for the business unit. Import Business Coordination Organize import process that includes supplier communication, bank communication and logistics issues. Advise management on high-value imports for the business by constantly scanning the market Coordinate issues with the finance and manufacturing team. Work on developing the current import portfolio to a higher level and meet targets. Communication and Team Management Regularly report on progresses and operational issues to the management. Organize the import and export department into a business unit. Responsible for all external communications with customs, transistors, transporters and others. Expected competencies and skills Outstanding spoken and written English and Amharic languages Good negotiation skills and sound networking with bank. Ability to influence and persuade. Ability to coordinate things in smooth and formal manner. Understanding of how government officers and farmers think. Ability to work in a team and independently Terms and conditions: The position is permanent with effect from immediately. The person is expected work full time.
