Job Role

The role aims to be recognized as trusted advisors in the hotel industry. This role supports the finance lead to attract and retain best-in-class finance professionals and assists in developing their finance team to enable them to thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Communicating with impact and ensuring a robust control and compliance environment.
  • Partnering within the hotel to maximize profit for shareholders and owners.
  • Executing EMEA Operations Finance innovations and projects.

Duties

The Assistant Finance Manager will support all activities performed by the Finance Manager, including:

  • Understanding and driving financial performance.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and month-end closing activities.
  • Coordinating and reviewing monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP, Uniform System of Accounts, and Hilton policies.

Qualification

  • BA in Accounting and related fields.
  • Five years of hands-on experience as an assistant/senior accountant.
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of complex financial information and create reports, forecasts, and projections.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including collaboration with others.
  • Ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems.
  • Ability to help develop problem-solving skills among direct reports and team members.
  • Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritize, and implement necessary elements for team responsibilities.
  • Ability to manage and develop staff.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to develop presentations and effectively present to all levels of the company, hotels, and owners.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with all levels of management and external customers.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to quickly learn new programs.
