Role Overview: The Customer Service Officer will act as the first point of contact for community members, participants, clients, and partners across Khul’s platforms. This role involves:
- Managing communication channels
- Resolving customer issues with empathy
- Enhancing user satisfaction
- Collaborating with marketing for better reach and engagement
A creative, proactive, and people-first approach is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Experience & Communication
- Provide timely, professional, and compassionate responses across channels (calls, emails, DMs)
- Maintain a deep understanding of all Khul programs, events, and offerings
- Log customer feedback and complaints; collaborate with teams to resolve issues
- Create FAQ documentation and knowledge bases for customer self-service
- Community Engagement & Relationship Building
- Build strong rapport with community members and clients
- Reach out for feedback and testimonials post-program/event
- Track satisfaction trends and propose ideas to enhance user experience
- Digital & Social Media Marketing Support
- Assist in managing comments and DMs on social media pages
- Collaborate with the marketing team for digital engagement strategies
- Use CRM to track and respond to engagement
- Analyze data from digital campaigns for better customer interactions
- Sales & Conversion Support
- Guide prospects through program offerings and registration
- Assist in executing lead follow-up via calls, emails, and messaging apps
- Upsell or cross-sell programs to existing participants
- Administrative & Operational Support
- Organize participant data, registrations, and attendance logs
- Coordinate with operations teams for smooth service delivery
- Track inquiries and compile weekly/monthly reports
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in customer service, marketing, or communications
- Experience using customer service tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Amharic
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help others
- Detail-oriented and organized with a problem-solving mindset
- High adaptability in dynamic, impact-driven work environments
Desirable Qualities of Advantage
