The Job
In line with emerging needs to revamp business development, partnerships, innovation, and research at KEMMCOM, the company is hiring a Deputy CEO.
Reporting directly to the CEO; the Deputy CEO is expected to lead these efforts and support the development of a centre of excellence in external facing functions of the company in a collaborative work environment.
The ideal candidate would have a strong background and/or experience in the professional services sector with the ability to understand business needs and build a strong brand, reputation, and business for the company. A good level of judgment in a variety of situations, strong presentation and influencing skills, written and verbal communication, and organisation skills are essential for this position. We are looking for a doer, an unconventional thinker, and a master executer.

- You can give 6-8+hrs of your time a day to executing truly groundbreaking projects with the help of a committed and strong team. You are not scripted to the convenience of normal work hours.

Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration and/or a related fields from a recognised University with a GPA of 3.4 and above desired. Qualifications or experience with a practice of execution and/or management in Ethiopia will be given priority.
Experience and skillset
- Blended experience in entrepreneurship and the corporate world in Ethiopia with a track record of learned non-success and a track record of successful project delivery.
- A strong track record of setting and meeting pre-defined targets.
- Excellent oral representation, writing, and reading skills in English, ability to communicate in more than one Ethiopian language strongly desired.
- Ability to lead changes in a fast-growing company and provide solutions to these growing pains.
- Ability to think on the go and execute with efficiency.
- Ability to put the customer first in every interaction involving the company and always look for ways to improve the customer experience through tactical and operational process.
- Ability to lead cross-functionally with teams and negotiate constructively for the purpose of business growth using evidence.
- Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with current and potential clients.
- Highly resourceful team leader, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response
- Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
