Role Overview:
We are seeking a visionary Head of Product Design & Innovation with a background in Industrial Design, Architecture, or Mechanical Engineering and 4–6 years of experience. You will lead our design strategy, drive innovation, and oversee the development of next-generation furniture and material solutions. Experience in the furniture industry is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Leadership & Strategy:
- Define and execute the product design vision, ensuring alignment with market trends and business goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams (R&D, engineering, manufacturing) to transform concepts into market-ready products.
- Innovation & Development:
- Spearheaded material innovation, ergonomic improvements, and sustainable design practices.
- Oversee prototyping, testing, and refinement of furniture and architectural products.
- Technical Excellence:
- Mastery of CAD/CAM tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, AutoCAD) and rendering software (Keyshot, V-Ray).
- Ensure that designs meet technical, functional, and aesthetic standards.
- Market-Driven Creativity:
- Collaborate with sales/marketing to create compelling product narratives and visuals.
- Analyze competitor products and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Advanced degrees/certifications are a plus.
- Experience: 4–6 years in product design/development, preferably in furniture, cabinetry, or architectural materials.
- Portfolio Must Demonstrate:
- Leadership in bringing products from concept to mass production.
- Innovative solutions in materials, space optimization, or user-centric design.
- Soft Skills:
- Strategic thinker with strong team management and stakeholder communication.
- Passion for sustainability, smart materials, and future-forward design.
