Ethiopian Airlines Group would like to invite qualified applicants for its Ethiopian New International Airport building project the capacity of Mechanical Engineer.

ABOUT THE JOB

POSITION: Mechanical Engineer

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Fixed Term Contract

QUALIFICATION :

• BSC in Mechanical Engineering field of study
• a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.

Age – Not more than 50 years old

KEY COMPETENCIES:

• Oversee, review and manage the design and implementation of mechanical works, and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in global mechanical engineering standards (ASHRAE, ISO, ICAO) applicable to airport infrastructure.
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing large-scale HVAC systems for airport terminals, hangars, and support facilities.
• Expertise in the design of airport-specific plumbing systems and fire protection, including sprinkler systems and emergency response protocols.
• Knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient mechanical systems, including LEED-certified designs.
• Proven track record in the design and integration of specialized airport systems, such as baggage handling systems (BHS), passenger boarding bridges, and jet fuel systems.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring that mechanical systems are seamlessly integrated into overall airport operations.
• In-depth understanding of aviation safety regulations and mechanical codes relevant to airport infrastructure.
• Experience in supervising the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring quality and safety.
• Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in a high-demand airport environment.
• Competency in using advanced design software (AutoCAD MEP, Revit) and BIM for mechanical system integration.

LANGUAGE

• Knowledge of ET working language English is mandatory.
