Role Purpose: To ensure all deliveries & collections are timely expedited, in terms of DHL network standards. Provide efficient, friendly & courteous service to customers to maintain service excellence & DHL’s reputation as a market leader

Accountabilities:

Deliveries and Collections

Ensure all deliveries and collections are timeously and effectively expedited to and from account holding and cash customers in the assigned territory. To incorporate the Scanner in the processing of all inbound/outbound shipments and to ensure PCGOP procedures are strictly adhered to. You are required to electronically record via a scanner (or manually if required) all shipment process activities

Deliveries

All shipments on all delivery cycles must receive a WC scan before departure from the facility. Shipment Delivery is to meet Right Day Delivery (RDD) targets. If unable to deliver a shipment, must scan the shipment with the correct checkpoint to show the network the reason for the non-delivery.

To sure that the equipment is working and transmitting the delivery details all the time.

You must attempt to deliver every shipment that you take out every day. You should reconcile all non-delivered shipments and ensure priority is given to these for the next delivery cycle

Collections

When you receive a call/message from Dispatch you must update your Pick Up sheet accordingly. When you collect the shipment from the customer you must scan the AWB as per the collection procedures in place. If it is a cash collection you must inspect the contents, generate the appropriate checkpoints affix a security sticker which needs to be signed by both you and the customer. Cash shipments must be verified in front of the customer.

You must check that the AWB is completed and that appropriate and correctly completed invoices and necessary forms are attached for WPX shipments.

If you are not sure of a destination you must check your courier guide or wait until you return to the station for assistance. A maximum number of shipments must be scanned before you get back to the station.

When you arrive at the station you must download your scanner, and sort your material into DOX & WPX. Complete the scanning for the AWBs you were not sure of and download your scanner again.

When all your shipments are scanned you must hand them in at the Debrief Desk. It is your responsibility to make sure that relevant Stickers are attached to the shipments
