Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to manage accounting activities and oversee administrative operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial record-keeping, reporting, and ensuring smooth office functionality.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Handle accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Monitor company cash flow and support in budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and timely filing of VAT, withholding tax, and income tax returns
- Process payroll and manage pension and social security contributions
- Liaise with external auditors and provide required financial documentation
- Manage the company’s petty cash and oversee expense reports
- Maintain proper documentation of all financial transactions
Administration & Office Management
- Coordinate daily office operations and manage office supplies and logistics
- Handle correspondence, communication, and scheduling of internal/external meetings
- Maintain and update company records, licenses, and insurance renewals
- Support in the recruitment and onboarding of new staff
- Ensure compliance with company policies and Ethiopian labor laws
- Supervise office assistants, drivers, and support staff
- Maintain the confidentiality of company and employee information
- Provide administrative support to management and various departments as required
- Organize company events, trainings, and staff development activities
Qualifications
- BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax and payroll regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g., Peachtree, QuickBooks, or Odoo is a plus)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and under pressure
