Project background
Realizing Aspiration of Youth in Ethiopia through Employment (RAYEE) is a five-year (Nov 2019 to October 2024 inclusive) youth employment creation project that is being implemented in Collaboration with Mastercard Foundation. The overall objective of the project is to secure dignified and fulfilling employment and improved livelihoods for 240,000 youth between the ages of 18 to 35 years in urban, peri-urban, and rural target areas of Ethiopia. It is envisaged to realize 180,000 jobs through establishing 45,000 Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) and the remaining 60,000 jobs through linking for wage employment in firms. 70% of the jobs are targeted for young women and 70% of the jobs are to be in the Agriculture/Agribusiness sector.
RAYEE's key interventions are:
Purpose of the job
RAYEE has worked on a digital data management system to collect, store and analyze project data in the course of its implementation, especially from year 4 onwards. Training is provided for cluster advisors and data entry clerks to enhance the data entry process. Following the training the data entry has started from November 15, 2022, onwards by data entry clerks. However, the backlog data entry is still ongoing throughout all clusters although there are varies data entry achievements across clusters that need to be finalized with a fixed agreed deadline by hiring intern clerks for data entry.
The Data entry clerk intern will be responsible for conducting data verification, performing data entry, organizing the project hard and soft copy data, importing/exporting the project data from the digital data management system and regularly updating the project data to the system. He/she will play a vital role in improving the project data quality.
The data entry clerk intern will closely work with regional project advisors, local service providers, youth enterprise development and quality improvement advisors, national MEAL advisors and national program advisors to ensure the project data and service quality.
