Job Purpose:

The Corporate Communications Manager supports the company's goals by overseeing all internal, external, and leadership communications. This role is crucial in engaging external and internal stakeholders through consistent, bold, and engaging messages. The manager is responsible for maintaining the business's reputation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement communication plans to convey initiatives and projects to target audiences
  • Lead special communication projects to enhance strategies and achieve specific objectives.
  • Ensure clear communication by managing and sharing content across platforms
  • Leverage and create engaging opportunities for leadership
  • Regularly track and report press releases and media updates from the conventional and social media platforms to keep leadership informed.
  • Supporting leadership with insight into the external environment through consistent updates about the market
  • Develop external communication strategies to enhance brand reputation and foster positive perceptions
  • Assess external perceptions and respond to market trends and industry changes
  • Follow up on stakeholder and regulatory developments to shape engagement strategies and ensure compliance
  • Use various communication tools to address organizational needs, including employee engagement, leadership communications, and community investment.

Who are we looking for?

  • Excellent writing, editing, and Amharic translation skills.
  • Deep understanding of the media and communications landscape.
  • Proven experience in leadership communication
  • Proven track record of generating and copy-editing communications products used in policy-relevant research.
  • Proficiency in communications product design, including layout and graphics.
  • Experience in managing and updating content across conventional and social media platforms.
  • Fluency in English both written and verbal

Job Requirements:

  • BA Degree in Communications, Journalism, or other related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in corporate communications or a similar field.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple communication projects simultaneously
