We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Designer with a background in Industrial Engineering to join our team and contribute to the design and development of our next-generation furniture products.
Job Description:
As a Senior Designer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development process of our furniture products. You will leverage your industrial engineering expertise to create functional, ergonomic, and aesthetically pleasing designs that align with market trends and customer requirements. Your experience in the furniture industry will be a valuable asset as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring innovative ideas to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Design & Development:
- Lead the design and development of new furniture products, from concept to production.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D designs using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, etc.).
- Ensure designs are functional, ergonomic, and manufacturable while meeting quality standards.
- Apply industrial engineering principles to optimize product designs for manufacturing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct feasibility studies and prototyping to validate design concepts.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure seamless transition from design to manufacturing.
- Stay updated on industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor products.
- Incorporate market insights into design concepts to ensure relevance and competitiveness.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and supply chain, to ensure alignment on design objectives.
- Present design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into final designs.
- Ensure all designs meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Conduct testing and evaluation of prototypes to identify and resolve design issues.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in product design, preferably in the furniture manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, etc.).
- Strong understanding of industrial engineering principles, including manufacturing processes, materials, and ergonomics.
- Creative mindset with a strong eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience in the furniture industry is a plus.
