About the Job
On behalf of our client we are looking for an active, energetic, and detail-oriented Accountant with solid experience in import/export operations to support and manage day-to-day financial activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily accounting operations and financial records
- Manage import/export documentation and related transactions
- Prepare financial reports and assist in month-end closing
- Ensure proper recording of costs, invoices, and payments
- Follow up on receivables and payables
- Support tax compliance (VAT, withholding, etc.)
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Work closely with operations and logistics teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience in import/export is required
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting
- Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax regulations and compliance
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
