Key Responsibilities
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in accounting systems.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Support payroll processing and ensure accurate salary calculations.
- Assist in bank reconciliations and ledger maintenance.
- Monitor project-based expenses and cost allocations (particularly for construction projects).
- Prepare payment vouchers, invoices, and expense reports.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in VAT and withholding tax reporting.
- Maintain organized financial documentation and filing systems.
- Support senior accountants and finance managers in audits and financial reviews.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience (construction or project-based accounting experience preferred).
- Familiarity with construction cost tracking, project budgeting, and contract payments is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Ethiopian tax regulations, VAT, and withholding tax procedures.
