Ethiopian Airlines Group invites qualified applicants for Ethiopian Aviation University for the position of Adjunct Professor of Cost and Management Accounting.
Qualification Requirements
- Educational Background:: Ph.D. in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with a focus on management accounting, earned in residence through a full-time program at an accredited institution. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
- Industry Experience: Practical experience in cost accounting or financial management within the aviation industry or related sectors. Experience collaborating with aviation companies on financial analysis or cost management projects is desirable.
Key Expertise:
- Cost Accounting Principles: In-depth knowledge of cost accounting principles, including cost behaviour, cost allocation, and cost-volume-profit analysis.
- Management Accounting Techniques: Familiarity with management accounting practices such as budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance measurement.
- Aviation Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the aviation industry, including operational costs, regulatory requirements, and financial challenges specific to airlines.
- Financial Reporting: Proficiency in financial reporting standards and practices applicable to the aviation sector.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software and tools commonly used in the aviation industry (e.g., ERP systems, financial modelling software).
Language
- Knowledge of the working language, English, is mandatory.
