The Program Manager directly reports to the Program Director and is responsible for planning, coordinating, directing, controlling, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting activities of the Area Program Office. She/he ensures the quality and appropriateness of the program interventions, identifies and analyzes problems encountered and takes appropriate measures in consultation with APO management and Head office team for correcting the problems. He/she also take part in strategic issues of resource mobilization, engaging the APO team and takes part in the wider fundraising team led by the head office.
She/he works for the proper initiation, establishment, strengthening and implementation of multi- thematic and multi-stakeholder community-based development programs; responsible for maintaining good relationships with stakeholders to realize the strategic objective of the organization.

- Demonstrated experience in fundraising, including developing excellent proposals, reports and case stories
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Partnership Building: Skills in developing partnerships with schools, community organizations, and government agencies.
- Community Engagement: Ability to engage with community members to gather support and resources for programs.
- Budgeting Skills: Ability to create and manage budgets, ensuring the financial sustainability of programs.
- Ability to meet ethical Standards and Compliance with policy and procedures
- Continuous Professional Development-Lifelong Learning and Willingness to mentor staff and volunteers, sharing knowledge and fostering professional growth
Qualification
- Education: B.A/M.A/M.Sc. Degree in Social Science, Economics, Sociology, Social work and psychology, Business Administration or other related fields
- Experience: A minimum of 9 years of relevant work experience with child and youth-focused NGOs for BA holders, or 7 years for MA holders. Within this experience, at least three years must be in a management or coordinator role in NGO sector.
Report to: Program Director
Number of Positions: Two (one for Addis Ababa and one for Wolaitta Sodo)
Terms of employment: One-year contract with possibility of extension based on performance and the availability of funds.
Salary and other benefits will be as per FSCE Salary scale and benefit packages.
Duty station: Wolaita Soddo and Addis Ababa Area Program Offices, with frequent travel to project implementation zones and woredas.
