Banking Business Officer

Job Summary

The position is responsible for supporting branch banking operations by providing effective customer service, managing financial transactions, supporting business growth initiatives, and ensuring compliance with banking procedures and Shari’ah-compliant financial practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and professional banking services to customers in accordance with Bank policies and procedures.
• Support branch operations, including account services, customer requests, and daily banking activities.
• Assist in customer acquisition, relationship management, and promotion of the Bank’s products and services.
• Ensure accurate processing and documentation of financial transactions.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, banking regulations, and Shari’ah principles.
• Support branch business growth and financial inclusion initiatives.
• Maintain proper customer records and ensure confidentiality of customer information.
• Assist senior branch staff in achieving operational and business targets.
• Provide quality customer service and respond effectively to customer inquiries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Management, Accounting, or other business-related fields.

Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years of branch banking experience.
• At least one (1) year of experience as a Junior Officer in branch banking.

Required Competencies

• Good understanding of banking operations and financial services.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and relationship management.
• Understanding of Shari’ah-compliant banking practices is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with customers and team members.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
