Biomedical Engineer

Job Summary

The Biomedical Engineer is responsible for supporting the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical management of biomedical equipment. The role involves ensuring medical devices operate safely and efficiently, providing technical support, conducting equipment inspections, and assisting healthcare facilities with biomedical engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair biomedical equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and availability.
• Conduct equipment inspections, testing, calibration, and performance verification where required.
• Provide technical support and guidance to healthcare staff on the proper operation and handling of medical equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and service activities.
• Identify technical issues and coordinate solutions to minimize equipment downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality requirements for biomedical equipment operations.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation related to equipment servicing and maintenance.

Job Requirement

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from a recognized university or college; women are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Work Experience: 0 years and above.
• Quantity: Two positions per location; four in Addis Ababa (Total: 14).
• Salary: Negotiable.
