Key Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Management: Manages overall portfolio growth and quality.
- Client Verification: Ensures verification of existence of clients and creditworthiness of their business.
- Committee Leadership: Chairs the Branch Credit Committee (BCC) and participates in evaluating, approving, or rejecting loans.
- Deposit Management: Ensures saving deposits and withdrawals in accordance with policies.
- Growth Coordination: Coordinates on growth areas and projections for disbursements.
- Staff Management: Manages, coordinates, and supervises branch staff to ensure efficient service delivery operations.
- Branch Operations: Coordinates and supervises the operation of the branch.
- Personnel Planning: Plans personnel capacity, selects new staff, and evaluates existing staff.
- Resource Supervision: Supervises economical use of material resources and ensures timely servicing.
- Staff Development: Ensures high morale among staff and provides adequate training.
- Performance Appraisals: Undertakes annual performance appraisals and staff development plans.
- Policy Compliance: Manages the branch and ensures compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Internal Controls: Implements policies, procedures, and internal controls at the branch.
- Operational Decisions: Decides on all operational and financial issues within existing regulations.
- Reporting: Responsible for reporting and communication.
- Record Balancing: Performs independent balancing of all records.
- Management Collaboration: Works with other management members of the MFI.
- Team Engagement: Attends quarterly branch managers meetings and engages in team problem-solving.
- Planning & Integration: Develops the branch business plan and annual work plans.
- Plan Adjustment: Adjusts the plan as needed.
- Marketing: Promotes loans, savings, and other services provided by the branch.
- Promotional Initiatives: Plans and initiates promotional measures within target markets.
- Market Development: Engages in marketing efforts within the branch's target markets.
- Branch Marketing: Focuses on marketing strategies for the branch.
Qualification and Technical Skills Required:
- Educational Background: University Degree/Diploma in relevant fields such as economics, accounting, or business administration.
- Experience: Related experience of 4 years for degree holders and 6 years for diploma holders.
- Personality Traits: Determined personality with initiative, perseverance, and team management skills.
- Responsibility: Capability and willingness to take responsibility with a strong sense of rectitude.
- Organizational Values: Ready to comply with the organization's ideals and core values.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Financial Management: Able to plan and manage finances with a basic understanding of accounting.
- Training Skills: Be a good trainer, facilitator, mentor, and coach.
- Communication Skills: Very good communication and marketing skills.
- Driving Skills: Motor bicycle driving skill and license.
