About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and ecosystem-driven Business Development Officer to manage and implement incubation and acceleration programs for startups. The role focuses on supporting early-stage and growth-stage ventures through structured business development services, mentorship coordination, performance tracking, and ecosystem engagement.

The officer will serve as the primary contact person between selected startups and the internal project team, ensuring smooth communication, accountability, and measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day implementation of incubation and acceleration programs, ensuring smooth delivery of all planned activities and services.
  • Serve as the primary focal person between selected startups and the internal project team.
  • Coordinate mentorship sessions, training workshops, coaching programs, and networking events.
  • Monitor startup progress, track milestones, and provide ongoing business support.
  • Identify operational challenges faced by startups and facilitate timely solutions.
  • Support startups in refining business models, go-to-market strategies, and growth plans.
  • Prepare periodic progress reports and performance updates for management and stakeholders.
  • Strengthen relationships within the startup ecosystem, including mentors, investors, and strategic partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Economics, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, preferably within startups, tech companies, or innovation hubs
  • Strong understanding of startup lifecycle (idea validation, MVP, scaling, fundraising)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills
  • Proven track record of generating revenue or strategic partnerships
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
