Job Summary
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, expanding the merchant network, and supporting product adoption across SantimPay’s payment ecosystem. The role requires a proactive, analytical, and relationship-focused professional with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Growth & Expansion
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across key sectors.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to increase merchant acquisition and transaction volume.
- Lead initiatives to expand SantimPay’s market presence locally and regionally.
2. Partnerships & Strategic Alliances
- Establish and manage partnerships with banks, enterprises, government bodies, and corporate clients.
- Coordinate with internal teams to support partnership execution and onboarding.
- Evaluate partnership proposals and ensure alignment with company objectives.
3. Sales & Merchant Acquisition
- Oversee merchant onboarding for POS, QR, and gateway services.
- Support sales teams with high-value client negotiations and deal closures.
- Monitor merchant performance and ensure strong adoption of payment solutions.
4. Product & Market Intelligence
- Gather and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
- Work with the product and tech teams to improve existing solutions and identify new opportunities.
- Prepare business cases, ROI analyses, and reports for management.
5. Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants, partners, and stakeholders.
- Resolve escalations and ensure service excellence for key accounts.
- Represent SantimPay in meetings, events, and industry forums.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, sales, or related roles (preferably in fintech, banking, or payments).
- Strong understanding of digital payments, POS, QR, acquiring, and fintech operations.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of local regulations and NBE directives.
- Proven experience in negotiation, deal closing, and client relationship management.
Preferred:
- Experience working with banks, payment processors, or financial institutions.
- Knowledge of merchant acquiring, settlement processes, and payment system regulations.
- MBA or an advanced degree is a plus.
