Sr. Accountant

Purpose of the Role

The Senior Accountant will oversee the company’s financial operations, including cost tracking, inventory valuation, and production-related accounting. This role ensures accurate financial reporting and provides management with actionable insights for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial & Cost Accounting

• Maintain the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Record, monitor, and analyze production costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead
• Prepare cost reports and variance analyses to support operational efficiency
• Ensure accurate inventory accounting and valuation

2. Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation laws, and company policies
• Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors

3. Budgeting & Forecasting

• Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Track actual costs versus budgets and provide insights on cost control
• Assist management in financial planning and strategic decision-making

4. Process Improvement & Collaboration

• Work closely with production, procurement, and inventory teams to gather accurate cost data
• Recommend improvements in accounting processes, cost monitoring, and reporting
• Mentor and guide junior accounting staff

Candidate Profile

•  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, production costing, and financial reporting
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; ERP experience is a plus
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving
