The Cloud Systems Specialist will design and deploy modern, cloud-native solutions within a Microsoft-based environment for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Eastern Africa. This role is crucial in enhancing MSF's digital transformation through innovative cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Management

• Azure Infrastructure: Design and implement Azure environments, including virtual networks and storage.
• Active Directory: Co-manage hybrid Active Directory, ensuring seamless integration.
• Automation: Develop and automate infrastructure tasks using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
• Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost savings in cloud operations.

DevOps & Integration

• CI/CD Pipelines: Design and manage continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Data Integration: Implement ETL processes and manage secure integrations with third-party applications.
• Cloud-native Applications: Develop and deploy cloud-native apps and services.

Identity and Access Management

• IAM Systems: Develop robust identity and access management practices.
• SSO Integration: Manage application provisioning with single sign-on solutions.

Modern Workplace Initiatives

• Collaboration Tools: Support and optimize tools like Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
• Digital Transformation: Promote cloud-based solutions for improved productivity and collaboration.

Security & Compliance

• Security Protocols: Deploy and maintain security solutions to protect cloud environments.
• Audits & Assessments: Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with policies and standards.

Backup and Recovery

• Disaster Recovery Plans: Develop and implement data backup and recovery processes.
• Storage Management: Manage data storage solutions to ensure availability.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years in Azure cloud systems, DevOps, and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Skills: Proficiency in Azure AD, CI/CD tools, Infrastructure as Code, scripting (PowerShell, Python), and networking concepts.
