About the Job
The Banking Officer is responsible for supporting day-to-day frontline banking operations under close supervision. The role involves assisting customers with account services, ensuring accurate transaction processing, and delivering efficient and customer-focused banking services. The officer acts as both maker and checker in banking transactions while ensuring compliance with internal procedures and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in filling out various banking forms.
- Handle frontline operations, including account opening, local transfers, international money transfers, and cash operations.
- Issue passbooks and cheque books to customers.
- Maintain custody of customers’ specimen signature cards.
- Verify and initial deposit and withdrawal vouchers to ensure signature accuracy.
- Identify payees of negotiable instruments.
- Approve transactions when assigned as a checker.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide timely assistance.
- Ensure fast, reliable, and customer-oriented banking service delivery.
About You
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management, Economics, or related fields.
Experience:
- Two (2) years of banking operations experience. Knowledge of IFB is advantageous.
