The Data Scientist is responsible for discovering information hidden in vast amounts of data and helping the organization make smarter decisions to deliver better products. The primary focus will be on applying machine learning techniques for data mining, statistical analysis, text analytics using NLP/LLM, and building high-quality prediction systems integrated with products.

Job Responsibilities:

• Build models using best-in-class machine learning technology.
• Train and fine-tune models with new or modified training datasets.
• Select features and optimize classifiers using machine learning techniques.
• Perform data mining using state-of-the-art methods.
• Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis.
• Enhance data collection procedures to include relevant information for building analytic systems.

Technical Skills:

Mandatory:

• 4 to 10 years of experience as a Machine Learning Researcher or Data Scientist.
• Graduate in Engineering or Technology with strong business skills.
• Good applied statistics skills (distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.).
• Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, including knowledge of LLM.
• Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Good scripting and programming skills in Python.
• Basic understanding of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to the financial research domain.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence.
• Understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Grafana, GGplot).

Soft Skills:

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Good problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Passion, curiosity, and attention to detail.
